BSI releases major changes to BS8666:2005 detailing code
The updated BS8666:September 2005 code came into effect on the 1st of January 2006 and
will supersede the BS8666:2000 code.
The MultiREBAR Software upgrade for the new code will be provided free of
charge to all maintained BS8666 MultiREBAR customers.

What do the 18 new shape codes look like ?
Grade notations like T and R have now been replaced with A, B, C and H. Is that correct ?
Yes - Grades are now shown as one of the following:

Will I be able to convert my existing projects ?
Yes - MultiREBAR is provided with a utility that will convert your drawing in
minutes.
A comprehensive Audit is also preformed to ensure that any situation
where the existing
detailing does not confirm is highlighted as either a warning
or as an error.
Will I be able to run both BS8666:2000 and BS8666:2005 projects ?
Yes you can - however we would recommend after January 2006 that you only use
the BS8666:2005 version.
